Identity Verification (KYC)

What KYC means and why ReddyBook requires it

KYC stands for "Know Your Customer". It is the simple, one-time process of confirming that you are a real person, that you are the rightful owner of your ReddyBook account, and that you are old enough to play. When you request your betting ID on WhatsApp, our team checks a government photo ID and a few supporting documents against the details on your account. This protects you from impersonation and account takeover, and it protects ReddyBook and the wider community from fraud, money laundering and underage gambling.

For most Indian users the entire process is quick and painless. You send clear photos of your documents over WhatsApp, our verification desk reviews them, and your account is cleared for full deposits and withdrawals. This page explains exactly what we ask for, when we ask for it, how long it takes, and how we keep everything you send completely confidential. If anything here is unclear, our support team is available 24x7 through WhatsApp and our contact page.

Purpose & Scope

The KYC process is mandatory for all active ReddyBook accounts. Its purpose is to prevent fraud, identity theft, underage gambling and money laundering, and to make sure that money is only ever paid out to the genuine account holder. You can browse markets and place bets while your verification is in progress, but you must complete KYC before your first withdrawal, before crossing higher deposit or staking limits, and whenever our compliance team requests it.

Government Photo ID (any one)

  • check_circle Aadhaar card (front & back)
  • check_circle PAN card
  • check_circle Indian passport
  • check_circle Driving licence / Voter ID

Proof of Address & Payment

  • check_circle Utility bill (last 3 months)
  • check_circle Bank statement / passbook
  • check_circle UPI ID screenshot in your name

Aadhaar is the most widely used proof of identity in India and, in most cases, doubles as proof of address. A PAN card is useful for confirming your name and is often requested alongside Aadhaar for higher-value accounts. Whichever documents you choose, the name must match your ReddyBook account and the name on the bank account or UPI handle you use for deposits and withdrawals.

Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

Money laundering is the process of making money that comes from crime look like it came from a legitimate source. ReddyBook operates a zero-tolerance policy towards money laundering and the financing of terrorism. We are committed to keeping our platform clean: we monitor account activity, flag unusual patterns, and cooperate fully with lawful requests from authorities. Our AML programme works hand in hand with KYC, because knowing who our customers are is the foundation of stopping illegal money moving through the platform.

High cumulative volume

MONITORING

24x7 Ongoing

Typical red flags include deposits and withdrawals that do not match a person's stated income, rapid pass-through of funds with little real betting, attempts to use a third party's bank account or UPI ID, and structuring transactions to stay just under review limits. When something looks unusual, we may pause an account, ask for additional documents, request a Source of Funds explanation, and where required by law, report the matter to the relevant authorities.

payments

Source of Funds (SoF)

For larger or unusual transactions we may carry out Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and ask you to show where your money comes from. This is a standard financial-integrity step, not an accusation. Providing a simple document usually clears it within a day.

Salary / Employment Salary slip / ITR
Business Income GST / bank record
Savings / Gifts Bank statement

EDD may also apply if you appear on a sanctions list, are a Politically Exposed Person (PEP), or if your activity changes sharply. We keep these requests proportionate and only ask for what is genuinely needed.

Matching Data

Name must match your REDDYBOOK account exactly.

Privacy & Data Security

Your privacy is our highest priority. Documents submitted for KYC are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored securely, with access restricted to authorised members of our compliance team. We never sell or share your identity documents with third-party marketing agencies.

We retain your records only for as long as the law requires and for the legitimate operation of your account. For full details on how we collect, use, store and delete personal data, please read our Privacy Policy. Your use of ReddyBook is also governed by our Terms & Conditions.

rule

When KYC Is Required

You do not have to complete verification the very second you sign up. Many ReddyBook players create their betting ID on WhatsApp, make a first deposit and start betting on cricket, the IPL, football or live casino while their KYC is still pending. However, there are clear moments when verification becomes mandatory and your account cannot move forward without it. Understanding these triggers in advance saves you time and avoids any delay at the very moment you want to withdraw your winnings.

The most common trigger is your first withdrawal. Before we release any funds, we must confirm that we are paying the genuine account holder and not a fraudster who has gained access to your account. This single check is the strongest protection you have against someone stealing your balance. We will simply ask for your documents over WhatsApp and process the payout once everything matches.

KYC is also required when your account crosses higher deposit, staking or cumulative transaction limits; when you change important account details such as your registered mobile number or bank account; when you switch to a new payment method or UPI ID; and whenever our compliance team has a reasonable concern about activity on the account. In a small number of cases we may carry out re-verification on accounts that have been dormant for a long time, or where documents previously supplied have expired. None of these checks is intended to inconvenience you. Each one exists to keep your funds, your identity and the wider ReddyBook community safe. You can review how deposits and payouts work on our deposit & withdrawal page.

Before first withdrawal

Always required so payouts reach only the real account holder.

On higher limits

Crossing larger deposit or transaction thresholds triggers a check.

On suspicion

Unusual activity, detail changes or risk flags may prompt review.

The Verification Process, Step by Step

ReddyBook keeps verification refreshingly simple. There is no long online form and no complicated upload portal. Everything happens through the same WhatsApp chat you use to create and manage your betting ID, with a real member of our team guiding you. Here is exactly what to expect from start to finish.

Step 1 β€” Start the chat. Message our verification desk on WhatsApp. Tell us the registered mobile number or username on your ReddyBook account so the team can locate it. If you do not have an ID yet, this is also where you can request one.

Step 2 β€” Send your documents. Take clear, well-lit photos of a government photo ID such as your Aadhaar, PAN, passport or driving licence. Make sure all four corners are visible, there is no glare on the text and the details are easy to read. If your ID does not show your current address, add a proof of address such as a recent utility bill or bank statement. Finally, share a screenshot of the bank account or UPI ID, in your own name, that you plan to use for deposits and withdrawals.

Step 3 β€” Review. Our compliance team checks the image quality, confirms that the name and date of birth match your account, verifies that you are at least 18 years old, and runs the necessary background screening. Most submissions are reviewed within a few hours during business times.

Step 4 β€” Approval. Once everything checks out, your account is marked verified and cleared for full deposits and withdrawals. You will get a confirmation message on WhatsApp. If a document is blurry, expired or does not match, we will tell you exactly what to resend, so it is easy to fix on the first try.

monitoring

Ongoing Monitoring

Verification is not a one-and-done event. Keeping the platform safe means paying ongoing, sensible attention to how accounts behave over time. ReddyBook monitors transaction and betting activity on a continuous basis to detect anything that looks out of the ordinary, such as sudden spikes in deposits, patterns that do not look like genuine betting, or repeated attempts to use payment methods that do not belong to the account holder.

If our monitoring flags something, we may reach out for a short explanation, ask you to confirm a payment method, request an updated document, or in higher-risk cases temporarily pause certain account functions while we look into it. For the vast majority of honest players this is completely invisible. You will only ever hear from us if there is a genuine reason, and even then the process is quick and respectful. Ongoing monitoring also helps us keep your contact and payment details accurate, which means faster, smoother withdrawals for you.

From time to time we may also ask long-standing customers to refresh their KYC, especially if previously supplied documents have expired or if account information has changed. Treat any such request as routine housekeeping rather than a cause for concern.

Sanctions & PEP Screening

As part of responsible AML practice, ReddyBook screens customers against recognised sanctions and watch lists, and identifies whether a customer is a Politically Exposed Person, commonly known as a PEP. A PEP is someone who holds, or has recently held, a prominent public position β€” for example a senior politician, judge, military officer or executive of a state-owned body β€” along with their close family members and known associates. PEPs are not banned from holding an account, but because their position can carry a higher risk of bribery or corruption, accounts linked to them receive Enhanced Due Diligence.

For a sanctioned individual or entity, the position is stricter: we cannot provide services to anyone subject to applicable sanctions, and such accounts will be declined or closed. For PEPs, Enhanced Due Diligence simply means we may ask for additional information, including a clearer Source of Funds explanation, and we keep a closer eye on activity. These measures protect the integrity of the platform and ensure ReddyBook is never used as a channel for illicit money.

Record Keeping & Data Protection

When you complete KYC you are trusting us with sensitive personal documents, and we take that responsibility seriously. The identity, address and payment documents you submit are handled confidentially, transmitted over encrypted connections, and accessible only to authorised members of our compliance team who need them to do their job. We do not sell your documents and we do not pass them to third-party marketing companies.

We keep verification records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, as required to meet our legal and regulatory obligations and to handle any disputes. Once a record is no longer needed for a lawful purpose, it is securely deleted. You have rights over your personal data, including the ability to ask what we hold and to request corrections. The full detail of how we collect, use, store, share and delete your information β€” and how to exercise your rights β€” is set out in our Privacy Policy, which should be read together with this KYC & AML Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

report

If Verification Is Not Completed

Completing KYC is a condition of using ReddyBook, so it is important to understand what happens if verification is not finished, is declined, or if the documents provided cannot be accepted. The aim is never to penalise honest players; it is to make sure money only moves to verified, legitimate account holders.

If you do not complete verification when it is requested, withdrawals will be held until you do. Deposits and certain account features may be restricted. Where documents appear altered, do not belong to the account holder, or where we cannot satisfy ourselves about identity, age or source of funds, we may suspend or close the account. In serious cases involving suspected fraud, money laundering or underage use, we may withhold funds and report the matter to the appropriate authorities, as the law requires.

The good news is that genuine players almost never face any of this. If a submission is simply unclear β€” a blurry photo, an expired ID, or a name that does not match β€” we will tell you exactly what to fix and let you resend. The fastest way to avoid any hold is to verify early, ideally before your first withdrawal, using documents that match your account details.

18_up_rating

Age Verification β€” Strictly 18+

ReddyBook is strictly for adults aged 18 years and over. Preventing underage gambling is one of the most important reasons KYC exists, and it is a line we do not cross under any circumstances. Every government photo ID we review carries a date of birth, and confirming that you are at least 18 is a core part of the verification check.

If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, the account will be closed immediately and any winnings may be forfeited. We also urge adult players to keep their login details private and to make sure minors in the household cannot access betting apps or accounts. Tools such as device passwords and parental controls help keep gambling content away from children. If you believe an underage person has accessed our service, please tell us at once through our contact page so we can act.

Responsible Gaming

KYC and AML are part of a bigger commitment to keeping ReddyBook safe and fair. Betting should always be a form of entertainment, never a way to make money or to escape financial pressure. We encourage every player to set limits, to bet only what they can comfortably afford to lose, and to take regular breaks. There are no guaranteed wins in betting, and anyone who promises otherwise is not telling the truth.

If gambling ever stops feeling fun, or starts affecting your money, your relationships or your peace of mind, help is available and there is no shame in asking for it. You can request deposit limits or a cooling-off period through our support team at any time. To learn about the tools we offer and the warning signs to watch for, please visit our Responsible Gaming page. Please also remember that the legality of online betting varies between Indian states; it is your responsibility to make sure you are permitted to play where you live.

Why Strong Compliance Protects You

It is easy to think of KYC and AML as red tape, but for an honest player they are quietly working in your favour every single day. The same verification step that takes you a few minutes is what stops a stranger from draining your wallet, claiming your winnings, or opening accounts in your name. When ReddyBook insists that withdrawals only go to a verified payment method in your own name, that rule exists to make sure your money comes back to you and nobody else.

A platform that takes compliance seriously is also a platform that is built to last. Clean money flows, accurate records and proper age checks keep ReddyBook trustworthy for the whole community of Indian players who enjoy cricket, the IPL, kabaddi, football, tennis and live casino games like Teen Patti and Andar Bahar. By keeping fraudsters, launderers and underage users out, we protect the experience for everyone who plays fairly. That is the real purpose behind every document request you receive.

We also believe in being upfront. We will never ask you to share your account password, an OTP, or full card details as part of KYC β€” legitimate verification only needs your identity, address and payment-ownership proof. If anyone contacts you claiming to be ReddyBook and asks for those secret credentials, treat it as a scam and report it to us through our contact page. Staying alert to fake messages is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to keep your account safe.

Finally, compliance is a partnership. We do our part with secure systems, careful staff and clear policies; you do yours by submitting genuine documents, keeping your details up to date, using only your own payment methods, and playing within your means. Together, those habits make for a betting experience that is not only enjoyable but also secure, transparent and fair for the long run.
